Ashley West serves on the Board of Directors for WEAVE, Inc. (2004 to present), the primary provider of services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Sacramento area. She has served as Chair of the Board of Directors and President for WEAVE since January 2009, serves on the Fund Development Committee, Board Development Committee, and the Executive Committee. Ashley has donated approximately $300,000 in legal services to WEAVE for the construction of a new Safehouse, is a BT Collins Major Donor, and served as the Chair of the Jeans for Justice Runway Show in April, 2008.

 

Ashley West served on the Board of Directors of the Barristers' Club of Sacramento from 2004 to 2007. In 2007, she organized the Barristers’ Club Annual Supreme Court luncheon on January 30th at the Sutter Club with the California Supreme Court Justices featuring Judge Rodney Melville as the Keynote Speaker. In January, 2007, she also put together several seminars for the Barristers’ Club including Bridging the Gap, a new lawyer orientation program; an Ethics Panel with Judge England, First Assistant US Attorney Larry Brown, and Civil Chief, Assistant US Attorney David Shelledy; and a Substance Abuse seminar with Bob Resner from the Other Bar.
